Wayne N. Cordes

Wayne N. Cordes graduated from Dickinson College in 1963 with a major in Political Science and thereafter from the Dickinson School of Law in 1966. Following law school, Wayne served in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps of the United States Army from 1966 to 1971. After his discharge, Wayne served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office from 1971 to 1974. Wayne has been in private practice at the firm’s State Street location since 1971, and now concentrates his legal practice on estate planning, estate and trust administration and Orphans’ Court litigation. He also practices in other areas including real estate and zoning matters. He has received an AV-rating from Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest rating in both legal ability and ethical standards, by his peers for professional excellence.

Wayne has also been admitted to the U.S. Court of Military Appeals (1967), the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania (1974), and the U. S. Supreme Court (1977).

Wayne is a member of the Bucks County Estate Planning Council and has been an active member of the Newtown Lions Club since 1974.

Andrew J. Cordes

Andrew J. Cordes is the managing member of Cordes Law, LLC. In 1995. Andrew graduated from Lycoming College with majors in Political Science and Psychology. Andrew graduated from the Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University in 2000 and he completed the Estate Planning Certificate Program at the Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2008. Andrew has been in private practice at the firm’s State Street location since 2000, focusing his legal practice on estate planning, estate administration, trust administration, and Orphans’ Court matters.

Andrew is a member of the Bucks County Bar Association (Orphans’ Court Section), the Bucks County Estate Planning Council, the Newtown Business Association and the Bucks County Professionals Network.

Andrew volunteers on a weekly basis at the animal rescue Last Chance Ranch located in Quakertown, Pennsylvania (www.lastchanceranch.org) and is a member of its Board of Directors. Andrew is a member of the Planning Commission for Haycock Township, Bucks County, where he lives. He also established the firm’s participation with Adopt-A-Highway on Swamp Road (between Rushland Road and Mozart Road) in Buckingham and Wrightstown Townships.

EMILY Watson

Emily is the firm’s paralegal. She received her Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies from Rancho Santiago College in Santa Ana, California and her Degree in Business Management from Fullerton College in Fullerton, California. As the firm’s paralegal, she is involved with the firm’s estate and trust administrations and also involved with the firm’s business management. Emily is a notary public and has been with the firm since 2018.

Carol L. Hearn

Carol received an Associate Degree in Executive Secretarial from Goldey College in Wilmington, Delaware and has completed several paralegal courses at Bucks County Community College. She is involved with various administrative duties and heavily involved with preparation of estate planning documents for the firm. Carol has been with the firm and is a notary public since 1994.

Bethanne G. Dalton

Bethanne is responsible for greeting clients, handling front office reception, and various administrative duties. She is closely involved with assisting Wayne and Andrew in various areas, including all phases of civil court, orphans’ court and estate matters. Bethanne has been with the firm and is a notary public since 1999.
