About Us

Wayne N. Cordes
Wayne N. Cordes is the managing partner of Cordes Law, LLC. He graduated from Dickinson College in 1963 with a major in Political Science and thereafter from the Dickinson School of Law in 1966. Following law school, Wayne served in the Judge Advocate General's Corps of the United States Army from 1966 to1971. After his discharge, Wayne served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Bucks County District Attorney's Office from 1971 to 1974.

Wayne has been in private practice at the firm's State Street location since 1971, and now concentrates his legal practice on estate planning, estate and trust administration and Orphans' Court litigation. He also practices in other areas including real estate and zoning matters. He has received an AV-rating from Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest rating in both legal ability and ethical standards, by his peers for professional excellence.

Wayne has also been admitted to the U. S. Court of Military Appeals (1967), the U. S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania (1974), and the U. S. Supreme Court (1977).

Wayne is a member of the Bucks County Estate Planning Council and has been an active member of the Newtown Lions Club since 1974.

Andrew J. Cordes
In 1995, Andrew J. Cordes graduated from Lycoming College with majors in Political Science and Psychology. Andrew graduated from the Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University in 2000. In 2008, he completed the Estate Planning Certificate Program at the Temple University Beasley School of Law.

Andrew has been in private practice at the firm's State Street location since 2000, focusing his legal practice on estate planning, estate administration, trust administration and Orphans' Court matters.

Andrew is a member of the Bucks County Bar Association (Orphans' Court Section), the Bucks County Estate Planning Council, the Newtown Business Association and the Bucks County Professionals Network. He also volunteers on a weekly basis at Last Chance Ranch located in Quakertown, Pennsylvania (www.lastchanceranch.org) and established the firm's participation with Adopt-A-Highway on Swamp Road (between Rushland Road and Mozart Road) in Buckingham and Wrightstown Townships.

Patricia A. Thomas
In 1987, Patricia A. Thomas graduated from Rider University with a major in Business Administration and a minor in Finance. She received her Paralegal Certificate from Villanova University in 2000. Patricia is closely involved with assisting Wayne and Andrew in all matters relating to estate administration, tax return preparation and the firm's business operations. Patricia has been the firm's paralegal since 2000.

Carol L. Hearn
In 1967, Carol L. Hearn graduated from Goldey College (formerly Goldey Beacom College) in Wilmington, Delaware with an associate degree in Executive Secretarial. Carol graduated from Atlantic City High School in 1965. She also completed several paralegal courses at Bucks County Community College in 2001-2002. Carol is heavily involved with preparation of estate planning documents for the firm. Carol has been one of the firm's legal assistants and notaries since 1994.

Bethanne G. Dalton
In 1974, Bethanne G. Dalton graduated from Central Bucks East High School. Bethanne is closely involved with assisting Wayne and Andrew in various areas, including all phases of civil court, orphans' court and estate matters. Bethanne has been one of the firm's legal assistants and notaries since 1999.
